Knorr® has a rich history of passion and innovation, starting in 1838 when Carl Heinrich Knorr opened the first Knorr® kitchen in Heilbronn, Germany. Initially supplying chicory to the coffee industry, Knorr soon began experimenting with drying vegetables and seasonings, launching the first dried soups in 1873. This led to the introduction of the pea soup 'Erbswurst' in 1889, and the first Knorr® Bouillon cube in 1912, making it easier for families to enjoy delicious homemade dishes.
Today, Knorr® products are enjoyed by 320 million people daily, with chefs around the world perfecting recipes that reflect local flavors. The Knorr Stock Cube debuted in the UK in 1949, followed by Knorr® Aromat. By the 1970s, Knorr introduced improved recipes for stock cubes and quick soups. Innovations continued in the 80s with new products like Mutton Stock Cubes, Gravy Cubes, and Pasta Sauces.
