Simmered onion, Cebolla frita, 340g

This is a slow-cooked onion sauce, cooked traditionally using extra virgin olive oil. It has a soft, delicate flavour that is the perfect base for sofrito, omelettes and stews alike. The dish is great on its own or as an ingredient in other dishes. It can be used to give your meal a rich, earthy base or as a topping for grilled fish or potatoes.
